first third“The First Third”  by Will Kostakis – universally loved by everyone who had read it at our final meeting in 2013!! First time ever!! Not surprising to find it shortlisted for the 2014 CBCA BoTY (OR) and longlisted for a Gold Inky.

 

 

-whenyoureachmeWhen you reach me ‘  by Rebecca Stead (Winner of Newbery medal 2010). For Year 7/8

finding cassie crazyFinding Cassie Crazy” by Jaclyn Moriarty (received numerous nominations and awards) – wonderfully uplifting and amusing account of 3 teen girls and their penpals. A great read for oler teens.

sliceSlice” by Steven Herrick – his first prose YA novel – deliciously funny but with the wonderful ring of truth – with a great male and female lead character, this is one for both boys and girls to enjoy. Yrs 9, 10

rhyming boy webRhyming boy” by Steven Herrick – a delightful novel about Jayden Hayden’s search for his father – again with strong characterisations this book can be enjoyed by both boys and girls. Yrs 7, 8

 

 

“Dads, Geeks & Blue Haired Freaks” by Ellie Phillips is an entertaining story about family, friends and growing up. When Sadie decides to look for her father (a sperm donor) she may just have bitten off more than she can chew! THanks goodness she has some geek friends to help her out.
